Six Point Social Club Members
February 13, 2020
Good Day all
Six Points acting Chairperson Paul Dano and members of the Six Point Social Club management hope that you’re having a pleasant winter season, staying warm but still being active. We hope that as members of the Six Point Social Club you have visited one of our participating ranges (On Target Range, Basket Rd., Ontario NY & The Firing Pin, The end of Buffalo Rd., Churchville NY) offering discounts to us and
staying proficient with your firearms.
We still have openings to fill the Chairperson and Secretary positions, interested? It wouldn’t take up too much of your time and new leadership always helps an organization.
Thanks to the involvement of Sheriff Baxter and members of his staff, MCSO Firearms Instructor SGT Chris Vossler who have been working with retired Deputy Acting Chairperson Dano to schedule another HR 218 re cert course, look for more info on S.O.A.R. INC web site and other sources for more details.
Due to interest expressed during our first year of operation, we are very excited to announce that Sheriff Baxter has authorized the Six Point Social Club to offer HR 218 for retired members of other Monroe County Agencies. Those interested individuals should meet four requirements;
The LEO must join the Six Point Social Club
The LEO must provide proper paperwork from their agency stating that they are eligible to participate in HR 218 re cert course (retired in good standing, requirement of the federal requirements)
The LEO must be from an agency within Monroe County
MCSO will provide documentation that the LEO qualification so that the LEO can obtain the HR218 photo ID card from their agency (another requirement from the federal statute)
You may obtain a 2020 Six Point Social Club application in site above for your use. Any questions, please don’t hesitate to call Acting Secretary Ed Ramsperger (585-683-9884).
We hope to see you at one of the ranges…..stay warm and safe.

Welcome to The Baxter Brief. A quarterly newsletter that is filled with information and news to keep you well-versed in my tenure as your Sheriff. Our goal is to keep you informed on campaign promises kept, new law enforcement initiatives, and significant upcoming events.
Our first fundraiser, Baxter, Bourbon & Bacon was a huge success at Iron Smoke Distillery, one of the best venues in Fairport, NY. The Baxter family is humbled by the number of people that came out to support. It was standing room only. A special thank you to our sponsors!

Peak, a female red bloodhound puppy, started working with Deputy Michael Ottley in December, 2019. Peak is MCSO’s first bloodhound K9. Bloodhounds do one thing better than any other creature; find people who are lost, missing, or hiding. Peak’s intelligence and keen sense of smell will assist MCSO in cases of missing persons and search and rescue. Click here to see more pictures of Peak
For the first time in years the number of overdose and overdose deaths in Monroe County have declined. The last two years have been marked by a tremendous amount of work with all our community partners on prevention, enforcement and recovery.
We will keep the pressure on and never let our foot off the gas as we combat the Opioid crisis. Thank you to all of our partners who work to save lives and thanks to our narcotic teams who work in danger to get those selling dirty dope behind bars.

As your Sheriff, my family and I are honored to have your support. I have a vision of great things yet to be accomplished at the Sheriff's Office and within our community. I will continue to work hard to make Monroe County a safer and better place to live, work and play.
